Group B meeting in Tampere ended with the score 2:1 (0:1, 1:0, 1:0). The winners scored goals from Sakari Manninen (31st minute) and Mikael Granlund (58th). The only puck of the Latvian national team was scored by Rudolf Balzers (9). In the group A match, the German national team beat the Slovakian team in Helsinki with a score of 2:1 (0:0, 2:1, 0:0). The Germans were scored by Matthias Plachta (22) and Leonard Pföderl (27). The Slovaks — Christian Pospisil (32). The Finns scored 6 points and single-handedly led group B, the Latvians (0) suffered their second defeat in the tournament and are the last. The Germans scored 3 points and moved up to the fourth position in group A, the Slovaks (3) are fifth.
