NATO is ready to discuss transitional security guarantees with Sweden and Finland in the event that they receive official applications to join the alliance, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said following an informal meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers in Berlin. «We are ready to sit down with them at the negotiating table and discuss the provision of security guarantees, including by strengthening our presence in the region,» he said. jpg» /> Stoltenberg is confident that NATO will come to an agreement with Turkey on Finland and Sweden.
