MOSCOW, June 1 Indian paraathlete Vinod Kumar suspended for two years for cheating Olympic Commission regarding the category of disability, according to the website of the International Paraathletics Federation (World Para Athletics). Kumar deceived the commission when confirming the competitive category before the Tokyo Games. The athlete’s disqualification will end in August 2023. Kumar is 41 years old, at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, he competed in the discus throw in the F52 category (persons with POD) and became a bronze medalist. Earlier, his result at the Games was canceled due to the deception of the commission.
