MOSCOW, June 2 Zenit have taken the updated champions trophy for eternal storage The Russian Premier League (RPL), according to the official Telegram channel of the football club from St. Petersburg. According to the current RPL regulations, the club receives a prize for eternal storage if it wins it five times or three times in a row. The new trophy was put into circulation after the 2018/19 season. Last season, Zenit became the champion of Russia for the fourth time in a row, having won the updated trophy for the third time, so the club took it for eternal storage. The previous Premier League Cup also remained in perpetuity with the St. Petersburg club, which won it five times. For the upcoming season, the RPL should produce a new trophy.
