Vitaly Khotsenko. File photoDONETSK, June 8 The head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin signed a decree appointing Vitaly Khotsenko as chairman of the republic's government.
"In accordance with Articles 59, 60, 76 of the Constitution of the Donetsk People's Republic I decide: to appoint Khotsenko Vitaliy Pavlovich as Chairman of the Government of the Donetsk People's Republic,» the document says.
The decree comes into force from the date of signing. Pushilin assured that many members of the Cabinet will retain their posts, and the new composition will be formed fairly quickly. Earlier, the head of the DPR dismissed the government and its chairman Alexander Ananchenko, and also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to perform duties until a new one is formed. The parliament of the republic supported Khotsenko's candidacy.
Manturov confirmed that Khotsenko worked at the Ministry of Industry and Trade
