Journalist Ilya Azar fined 60 thousand rubles for a Facebook post about the need for an anti-war march

The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow fined journalist Ilya Azar 60,000 rubles under the article on «discrediting» the army (part 2 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by the project «Network freedoms».

The report on Azar was drawn up for a Facebook post published on February 28. The publication spoke about the death of civilians in Kharkov and the need to hold an anti-war march in Russia.

Protocol on journalist was drawn up on May 6. The maximum penalty under this article is 100,000 rubles.
