"Very big hype. More and more people wish to obtain citizenship of the Russian Federation. Residents of the Kherson region today are en masse in queues to submit documents for obtaining Russian citizenship just because Russia can protect, Russia can feed and socially provide a person in a country in which a person is the highest social value of the state,” Stremousov noted .

According to him, over ten thousand applications for obtaining Russian citizenship have already been submitted in the region. «Every day people receive passports and there are more and more queues. Therefore, we are increasing the number of administrative centers for receiving documents,» the deputy head of the administration emphasized .

During the special operation, the Russian military took control of the Kherson region and the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region in southern Ukraine. Civil-military administrations have been formed in the regions, Russian TV channels and radio stations have begun broadcasting, and trade ties with Crimea are being restored.
