A protocol was drawn up against human rights activist Marina Litvinovich under the article on the demonstration of Nazi or extremist symbols (Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). She spoke about this in her telegram channel.
According to Litvinovich, she accidentally found out about the administrative case a week ago when she was looking for the dates of appeals on her claims related to last year's elections in the court's database. According to the case file, the hearing is scheduled for July 8, it will be held in the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow.
“The strangest thing is that I don’t know why I’m being attracted. I was not called to the department and was not invited to get acquainted with the protocol, I am not aware of this case at all. <…> The fact is that those convicted under this article receive not only a fine or arrest, but also a YEAR! ban on participation in elections as a candidate. Apparently, somewhere they decided that in no case should I be allowed to vote anymore,” the human rights activist wrote.
At the same time, Litvinovich noted that she did not plan to take part in the next Moscow municipal elections, as she decided to provide assistance to other candidates.
Marina Litvinovich was a member of the public monitoring commission of Moscow until April 2021, but her colleagues voted for her exclusion. The official reason for this decision in the PMC was that the human rights activist “disclosed the investigation data” in the case of Lyubov Sobol and thereby violated the federal law “On Public Control”. In the same year, Litvinovich took part in the elections to the State Duma.
