KRASNOYARSK, June 30 The team of two-time world ice hockey champion Alexander Semin in his farewell match beat the team of Olympic champion Pavel Datsyuk. The meeting, held in Krasnoyarsk at the Platinum Arena, ended with a score of 10:9 (5:2, 2:3, 3:4). As part of the winners, Alexander Ovechkin and Semin scored a hat-trick, Artem Shvets-Rogovoi, Andrei Nikolishin, Arseniy Gritsyuk and Alexei Makeev also scored. The losing team had two goals each in the assets of Alexander Guskov, Maxim Afinogenov and Danis Zaripov, Ilya Skvortsov, Anton Burdasov and Datsyuk also scored goals. Nine world champions, three Stanley Cup winners and seven hockey players who won the Gagarin Cup took part in Semin's farewell match. Semin, a native of Krasnoyarsk, is 38 years old. Throughout his career in Russia, he played for Traktor (Chelyabinsk), Lada (Tolyatti), Khimik (Mytishchi), Torpedo (Nizhny Novgorod), Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) and Vityaz near Moscow, where in his last season 2020/21, he played 40 games and scored 19 points (8 goals + 11 assists). Semin also played 650 games in the NHL regular season, playing for Washington, Carolina and Montreal, in which he scored 517 points (239 goals + 278 assists). As part of the Russian national team, Semin became the world champion in 2008 and 2012.
