WARSAW, July 1 Polish Sports and Tourism Minister Kamil Bortnichuk told reporters that a number of countries oppose the broadcasting of sports competitions in Russia and Belarus, according to him, the corresponding statement was signed by the ministers of 33 states responsible for sports. According to him, the statement has already been signed by representatives of 25 EU countries, as well as ministers from the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, Japan, Norway and Canada. and Belarus in the context of everything that has been happening in Ukraine in recent months.» According to Bortnichuk, the decision was made to make a statement «due to the fact that there are cases of such decisions, such as, for example, in bobsleigh and skeleton, which can open doors for the return of Russian federations, Russian and Belarusian athletes to world sport».
