MOSCOW, July 10, Taras Barabash. President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Shamil Tarpishchev said that it makes no sense to discuss the accusations against Aslan Karatsev of participating in match-fixing while they are unofficial. Earlier, the German TV channel ZDF, citing documents from the International Tennis Federation (ITF), reported that there were suspicions against Karatsev and Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili. One of the coaches from Eastern Europe, who became the source of the ZDF, said that tennis players were offered money for surrendering matches by their coach Yegor Yatsyk. The Belarusian specialist, according to a ZDF source, was looking for young tennis players and provided them with financial assistance by participating in contractual meetings. «We have no official accusations of anything. If there were, we would have sorted it out already. Otherwise, there is nothing on Aslan. There are no papers, so it's just pointless to procrastinate,» Tarpishchev said.
