
PETROVO (Kaluga Region), Jul 12Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlein arrived at the Ethnomir park in the Kaluga region to participate in the opening ceremony of the cultural center, RIA Novosti correspondent reports. The Shwezigon Buddhist pagoda, the cultural center of Myanmar, will open on Tuesday in the Ethnomir park-museum in the Kaluga region in the presence of the secular head of state, the spiritual leaders of Myanmar, Sri Lanka, as well as other high-ranking officials. The opening of the center will take place in accordance with Buddhist rituals — a ceremony will be held to place the «sacred diamond bud and ornamental blade» on top of the pagoda. The spiritual and cultural center of Myanmar will be able to accommodate several dozen people at the same time. Divine services and the largest number of visitors are expected on the days of major Buddhist holidays. The spiritual leader of the Myanmar people, Buddhist monk and public figure Ashin Niyanissara also take part in the opening ceremony of the pagoda.
