During the debate in the Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow, the prosecutor's office requested six years in prison for the administrator of the public «Police Ombudsman» Vladimir Vorontsov. The lawyer Fyodor Aksenenko reported this to Mediazona.
Today, the prosecution has abandoned most of the episodes in the Vorontsov case. Initially, he was accused of 14 episodes, now only five. These are three episodes about distribution of pornography and one each about insulting a government official and extortion. At the same time, the statute of limitations expires on the last episode about insulting the authorities.
The investigation accused Vorontsov of extorting 300,000 rubles from a Moscow policeman «for not distributing his photographs of an intimate nature.» According to the Investigative Committee, he also blackmailed a person with photographs in 2018 and a police officer in 2020.
In addition, according to the investigation, Vorontsov published in his group “insults against current employees of the internal affairs bodies and materials knowingly false information that discredits the honor and dignity of one of the lawyers of the Moscow region.»
