File photoROME, Jul 23The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in Italy has reached 407, said Gianni Rezza, head of the Department of Prevention of Diseases of the Ministry of Health, amid a statement by WHO declaring an emergency in connection with the disease. «The Ministry of Health has already prepared, together with the regions and autonomous provinces, procedures for reporting individual cases. In Italy has so far registered 407 cases with a tendency to stabilize. A rash may develop, often starting on the face and then spreading to other parts of the body.
