Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, blocked the website of Novaya rasskazh-gazeta (NO), created by journalists from Novaya Gazeta. This is reported by the human rights project Roskomsvoboda, which monitors changes in the register of banned sites.
On July 15, the Novaya Gazeta editors announced the launch of a magazine application with texts from the newspaper's authors. The first issue was released in a pdf version, as well as a printed version, which could only be bought on the Novaya website.

Novaya Gazeta itself suspended its work in March after two warnings from Roskomnadzor, on the basis of which the department could demand through the court to deprive them of their media licenses. Roskomnadzor also demanded that Yelena Kostyuchenko's reports from Ukraine and several other materials devoted to the war be removed from their website.
Novaya Gazeta journalists who left Russia launched a new publication, Novaya Gazeta.Europe. Their website was blocked in Russia.
