The Investigative Committee has completed its investigation into the case of Timur Bekmansurov, who shot dead six people at Perm State University in September 2021. This was reported by the press service of the main department of the department.
The student is accused of murderand attemptto kill two or more people, encroachmenton the life of a policeman and willfully damage to someone else's property committed out of hooligan motives in a generally dangerous way. Bekmansurov has been in jail since October last year.
On September 20, a young man, being a first-year student, came to the university and opened fire with a gun at people and cars. According to the Investigative Committee, as a result, six people died, 20 were injured, and another 37 people had various bodily injuries. In addition, during the arrest, Bekmansurov shot in the direction of the policeman, the security officer also fired back, because of which the student had to amputate part of the left shin.
Before triple shooting, the student published a post on VK in which he wrote that «from the middle of the 10th grade I began to save money for the purchase of firearms» and that «a few of you [humans] deserve to exist.»
Bekmansurov was 18 at the time of the shooting at Perm University. In June of this year, a law came into force to raise the age for the sale of hunting and non-rifled long-barreled weapons to 21 years.
