The State Council of Komi deprived the salary of the deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Viktor Vorobyov, who was included in the register of media — “foreign agents”. This was reported on the website of the State Council of the Republic.
According to the publication, the reason for such a decision was an audit, during which it turned out that the deputy provided “deliberately false and incomplete information” about his income, expenses and property. As a result, the commission dismissed him from his post «without termination of his parliamentary powers.»
“In the information he provided on income, the deputy did not reflect in any way how he could be recognized as a foreign agent, nowhere is it indicated how he received income either from foreign states or from legal entities that are recognized as foreign agents. In connection with this fact, it was decided to conduct an appropriate audit, ”said Vladimir Zharikov, head of the temporary commission for monitoring the reliability of financial reports, proposing to apply sanctions against Vorobyov.
According to 7×7, the deputy was accused of not showing his income in the amount of 711,000 rubles in his documents. According to Vorobyov, the commission considered the operation of refinancing the loan, compensation for legal costs, depositing previously earned cash into the account and the fees for legal services indicated in the declaration as income. The deputy noted that the entire commission consisted of members of United Russia, and their decision does not comply with the law, since only municipal deputies, but not regional deputies, can be deprived of their salaries.
In July, President Vladimir Putin signed a law prohibiting people with the status of «foreign agent» to work in the civil service. In addition, now the Ministry of Justice will be able to enter into the register even those who did not receive money from abroad, it is enough to “receive support or be under foreign influence” and engage in “political activities”.
One country, one law, one registry. The State Duma intends to change the law on «foreign agents» — it will become even easier to get such a label
