MOSCOW, August 5, Sergey Fuks. Former Lokomotiv Moscow footballer Zaza Janashiya said in an interview that he still does somersaults with a weight of 104 kg. Janashiya played for Lokomotiv from 1996 to 2001. The Georgian striker, together with the team, won four Russian Cups, and also became a multiple winner of the national championship. A distinctive feature of the striker was branded somersaults after goals scored. Janashia has struggled with being overweight throughout his career. «But I can do somersaults now, it's not a problem. I don't lose my abilities. Now I weigh 104 kg exactly, this is a normal weight,» Janashia said. «I want to say one thing: if a football player plays well why should I tell him to lose weight? It's not correct. Do what you want, the main thing is to go out on the field, put everything into the game, do what you can, and then do what you want, for God's sake. But that was before, then and for $100 fines were paid (laughs). And now it’s a different life, a different football,” he added.
