MOSCOW, Aug 6 An independent arbitration awarded Russian forward Yakov Trenin a two-year contract with club «Nashville Predators» in the amount of $ 3.4 million, according to the website of the National Hockey League (NHL). The meeting on his proposed salary was held on Tuesday. Trenin was the first of 24 restricted free agents to arbitrate. Trenin became the first player since October 2020 to receive a contract through arbitration. Then a new agreement with the Detroit Red Wings was signed by Canadian Tyler Bertuzzi. Last season, Trenin played 80 games in the NHL regular season, in which he scored 24 (17 + 7) points. The Russian set a personal record for goals, assists and scoring points in a season in the league.
