MOSCOW, August 7 Russian Arkady Dvorkovich during the General Assembly of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in Chennai, India, was re-elected to the post of president of the organization. In connection with the re-election of Dvorkovich, the Indian grandmaster, the 15th world champion Vishwanathan Anand, will take the post of vice president. Also, Ukrainian Andrei Barishpolets claimed the presidency. Belarusian Inalbek Sheripov withdrew from the elections for health reasons on Tuesday, Frenchman Bahar Kuatli announced his refusal to run for office during the General Assembly. Dvorkovich has been heading FIDE since October 2018.
