Khodykin posted a photo on social networks with a certificate of divorce, adding Valery Kipelov's song «I'm free.» In another photo, Khodykin and Popova stand together and smile. Popova and Khodykin got married in August 2020. This became known only in May 2021. Some time later, they broke up, but they filed for divorce only now. Popova is 25 years old. She is the champion of the 2019 Universiade in Krasnoyarsk. She performed in ice dancing with Yuri Vlasenko and Sergei Mozgov. The figure skater retired in 2020. Khodykin is 23 years old.
