MOSCOW, Aug 10 Former girlfriend of ex-Wales national football team coach Ryan Giggs Kate Greville, during the proceedings in the Manchester court, stated that she was subjected to physical and moral violence on his part. The hearing on the Giggs case began in Manchester on Monday. In November 2020, the media reported that Giggs was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a girl. Since then, the specialist has not managed the Wales national team, which he has led since 2018. In April 2021, the Crown Prosecution Service charged Giggs with assaulting two women. The former Manchester United footballer said in court that he would not plead guilty. «If Ryan told me to do something, then I obeyed. He made me feel that I had to do everything he said, otherwise there would be consequences. He did not always resorted to violence, but he was often aggressive,» Greville quoted the Mirror as saying.
