The Kerch City Court placed under house arrest a local resident Ilya Gantsevsky, who in April wrote an Instagram post about the shelling of the railway station in Kramatorsk. This was reported to the human rights project OVD-Info by lawyer Roman Kotenev.
The defender said that Gantsevsky, who was detained in Kerch two days ago, had already been charged in the case of «fake» about the army (part 2 of article 207.3 UK). Punishment under this article involves a fine of up to 5 million rubles or imprisonment for up to five years.
In April, Gantsevsky was already detained for the same post on Instagram — then the court appointed him 14 days of administrative arrest. According to what article a protocol was drawn up against him, it is not known.
According to the telegram channel «Caution, news», eight years ago, a Kerchanian participated in the projects of the «Young Guard», «United Russia» and the LDPR, and after 24 February, he began to publish anti-war posts, because of which he was fined “several times”. As a result, Gantsevsky deleted all entries critical of the war and stopped writing new ones.
