
MOSCOW, Aug 25 US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on its official website, updated the rules for the entry of foreigners into the country, according to which the former world number one Serb Novak Djokovic will not be able to count on participation in the US Open tennis championship. The CDC order, published on August 24, states that non-US citizens, immigrants Non-U.S. citizens must show proof that they have been fully vaccinated with the primary batch of accepted COVID-19 vaccine before boarding a flight to the United States. It is noted that there are limited exceptions for the entry of unvaccinated people into the country. In July, the organizers of the US Open announced that they would not require participants to have mandatory vaccination against coronavirus, but would respect the position of the US government regarding the entry of unvaccinated foreigners into the country.
