SOCHI, Aug 28 Russian biathlete Irina Kazakevich became the winner of the mass start at the first stage of the Commonwealth Cup. At the summer biathlon competition in Sochi, she covered the distance of 12.5 km in 34 minutes 8.2 seconds, making two misses at four firing lines. The second place was taken by Anastasia Batmanova (+1.21.2; 1 miss), the third — Tamara Derbusheva (+1.23.7; 4). On August 25-28, the Commonwealth Cup stage included sprint, pursuit and mass start. Russian and Belarusian biathletes compete at the tournament. The next stage will take place in September in Belarus.
