Earlier, he announced the resumption of shelling of the station by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The day before, an IAEA mission arrived at the ZNPP. The head of the delegation of «Rosatom» and the staff of the station led the members of the organization through its territory and showed the areas affected by the shelling of Ukrainian troops. The agency's director general, Rafael Grossi, noted the violation of the physical integrity of the facility. Now two experts of the organization continue to work at the nuclear power plant. The Ministry of Defense was surprised by the lack of a UN response to the shelling of ZAESA on the day of the mission’s visit, the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to land an assault force of about 60 people three kilometers northeast of the station, but the Russian armed forces, together with the National Guard, thwarted the provocation. As specified in the Ministry of Defense, the Kyiv regime prepared a plan in advance to send sabotage groups and organize artillery shelling of the station on the day the delegation arrived. The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located on the left bank of the Dnieper. It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity. Since March, it has been under the protection of the Russian military. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, this is necessary to prevent the leakage of nuclear and radioactive materials. Ukrainian troops continue to regularly shell Energodar, the surrounding villages and the territory of the station adjacent to the city.
