MOSCOW, September 6 Azerbaijani figure skater Ekaterina Ryabova has announced her retirement from sports.
"I ended my sports career. Thanks to everyone involved!" — she wrote on Instagram*.
Ryabova is 19 years old, she was born in Moscow, at a young age she competed for Russia, trained in Sambo-70 and at the Angela Plushenko Academy, and represented Azerbaijan at an adult level. At the Beijing Olympics, she took 15th place, at the World Championships her best result is ninth, at the European Championships — sixth.* Meta** activities (social networks Facebook* and Instagram) are banned in Russia as extremist.
