The Ministry of Internal Affairs put Anastasia Shevchenko, former coordinator of Open Russia in the Rostov region, on the wanted list. 161.ru drew attention to the information from the department's database.

According to a law enforcement source, Shevchenko «avoided the execution of her sentence.»

The activist herself wrote on her Instagram that she had left Russia in August.

Shevchenko became the first in Russia to be convicted in the case of cooperation with an «undesirable organization» (Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code). In February 2021, she was sentenced to four years of probation, then the sentence was reduced to three years of probation. The reason for the criminal case was the publication of a post about a lecture and the organization of political debates under the auspices of Open Russia.

Before the court decision, the activist was under house arrest for more than two years. During the investigation, her 17-year-old daughter, who lived in a boarding school for children with special needs, died.

In 2017, the Prosecutor General's Office recognized Otkrytaya Rossia, Open Russia Civic Movement and Open Russia (Open Russia Public Network Movement), registered in the UK, as «undesirable organizations».
