On Sunday, on Tankman's Day, in Ivangorod, Bulgakov unveiled a monument to the T-34 tank. The memorial was created on the initiative of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, in response to the dismantling of a similar monument by the Estonian authorities. Bulgakov specified that this was the first memorial restored as part of the decision. On August 16, the memorial tank in Narva was dismantled against the will of the citizens by the decision of the Estonian government .The monument «Tank T-34» was erected in Narva in memory of the forcing of the Narva River by Soviet troops on July 25-26, 1944 during the Narva offensive operation of the Leningrad Front, the main goal of which was to defeat the Narva grouping of Nazi troops, liberate the city of Narva and , as a result, the creation of favorable conditions for the subsequent offensive on the territory of the Baltic states.
