
MOSCOW, Sep 12 The Italian national volleyball team beat Poland in the final match World Cup. The meeting in Polish Katowice ended with a score of 3-1 (22:25, 25:21, 25:18, 25:20) in favor of the Italians. The Italian team won the World Cup for the fourth time in history. The team also has one silver award. The Polish team, which became the world champion three times, became the silver medalist for the second time. Earlier, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), due to the situation in Ukraine, suspended the Russian team from participating in international competitions and deprived the Russian Federation of the right to host the 2022 World Championship. In April, the FIVB announced that the tournament will be hosted by Poland and Slovenia. The 2022 Volleyball World Championship was to be held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Kaliningrad, Kazan and Yaroslavl.
