At a meeting in the Sovetsky District Court of Vladivostok, the prosecutor requested 15 years in prison for a deputy of the Primorsky Legislative Assembly from the Communist Party Artem Samsonov. Samsonov wrote about this in his telegram channel.
The deputy, who was detained in November last year, is accused of sexual acts against a teenager under the age of 14 (point «b» of part 4 of article 132 of the Criminal Code).

According to investigators, Samsonov, while at the recreation center «Azure Coast», showed a dildo to an 11-year-old boy and explained how to use it. An application for Samsonov was written by a resident of Vladivostok and an acquaintance of the deputy, Irina Safonova.
“Today, in his final speech, the prosecutor repeated everything written in the indictment <…> He stated that the testimony of my 25 witnesses cannot be trusted. You can't trust my photos. The documents presented by me cannot be trusted,” Samsonov said.
The deputy does not admit guilt and claims that he has an alibi, which the court does not take into account. His defense insisted that Irina Safonova herself brought dildos to the beach, lawyers showed her photos with them.
Earlier, there was a conflict between Samsonov and Irina Safonova. A few years ago, he agreed with a recreation center and began to extend electricity to a wild beach near Lazurnaya Street. When Samsonov took up political work, Safonova wanted to monetize the beach and began offering those who wished a place «on the closed shore» for money.
In the pre-trial detention center, Samsonov went on a hunger strike twice because of the conditions of his detention. He talked about daily searches and «sleep torture.» The deputy links the persecution with the success of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the elections of 2021.
