MOSCOW, Sep 20 WBA Super World Champion ) middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin from Kazakhstan must make a mandatory title defense in a fight against Cuban Erislandy Lara, Boxing Scene reports with reference to the boxing organization. On September 17, Golovkin lost to Mexican Saul Alvarez and could not win the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and WBO Super Middleweight. Before that, the boxers fought in 2017 and 2018 (draw and Alvarez won by decision). Now Golovkin has until January to defend his WBA middleweight title against Lara.
