
MOSCOW, Sep 22 The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) refused two Russians in changing sports citizenship to Israeli, said FIS Secretary General Michel Vion, whose words are quoted by the Norwegian edition of VG. The names of the athletes are not called. It is noted that they wanted to change their citizenship in order to take part in the World Cup. Earlier, Vion said that the FIS is considering the possibility of allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions. The decision may be made in December. At the end of February, the FIS suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions due to events in Ukraine. The decision was indefinite as long as it remains in effect.
