Panchuk said, that his actions were controlled by a GUR officer named Vitaly. In addition to the task of blowing up the power line, he ordered him to blow up a resident of Novaya Kakhovka. «He told me the address, I (explosive device — ed.) put it in the trash can, at the time when he passes by, I will have to press the button. I I pressed it, but nothing happened. That is, when Vitaly called, I told him that nothing had happened, he told me to pick up this box so that it would not get anywhere and nothing would happen to it, «the detainee said. He confessed that he was afraid of an explosion when he would pick up a failed device. “I say, what if it explodes in my hands? He said: “Open it, turn off the button there and take it away.” I took it, brought it home,” Panchuk said. A week later, according to him, Vitaly called again and said to pick up a new explosive device and lay on the route of the same citizen. «I put this box down, the next time it all worked out: it exploded, there was smoke, I left. A couple of days later I found out that this person is alive and well, everything is fine,» the detainee concluded.
