
MOSCOW, Sep 24 Serbian national football team captain Dusan Tadic refused to wear a rainbow headband during World Cup matches in Qatar, according to hotsport.rs. Previously, Tadić, as the captain of Ajax Amsterdam, refused armbands in support of LGBT and Ukraine at the matches of the Netherlands Championship. «The International Football Federation (FIFA) is under strong pressure from some European federations , who required their captains to wear rainbow ribbons at the World Cup, which symbolizes the fight against any discrimination,” the publication notes. The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. Serbia will compete in Group G alongside Brazil, Switzerland and Cameroon.
