Head of the Sambo Sports and Education Center -70″ Renat Laishev said that there are sambo wrestlers who are ready to join volunteer detachments to participate in a special military operation in Ukraine. Earlier, two sources familiar with the situation reported that Russia plans to create volunteer detachments of professional athletes to participate in a special military operation in Ukraine.
"Among the sambo wrestlers, there are already those who want to volunteer, even among my peers. The idea of creating volunteer units is great. This was also the case during the Great Patriotic War. Athletes are more disciplined, they quickly adapt to the situation and are very patriotic. I'm sure of it", — said Laishev.
