During the debate in the Zadneprovsky District Court of Smolensk, the prosecutor's office requested six years in prison for businessman Vladimir Zavyalov in the case of anti-war price tags. This was reported by SOTA.
Zavyalov is accused of «fake» about the army based on political hatred (clause «d» part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
The reason for the case was anti-war price tags — in April, Zavyalov managed to replace 16 price tags in the Karusel store with the inscriptions «Russia uses transportable crematoria», «The Russian army bombed an art school in Mariupol» and others.
According to «7×7», Zavyalov admitted his guilt in part. He confirmed that he hung out the price tags, but did not do so due to political animosity. The entrepreneur added that he did not read the text of the price tags, but simply downloaded the file with them from the telegram and printed it out.“After the start of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, which was an unexpected event for me, I had the opinion that yet the problem could be resolved through peaceful negotiations. I was very sorry and regret that people are dying there: both civilians and our military. Negotiations could reduce or eliminate these deaths. I wanted to bring my civic position to other people. Draw their attention to the death of others, that a military operation is not the only way out of problems in Ukraine, ”the publication reports his words from one of the meetings.
As SOTA notes, political hatred in Zavyalov’s act was discovered by linguistic experts Danila Mikheev and Dinara Aminova. In August, the Ministry of Justice acknowledged Mikheev's incompetence. span class=»mz-publish-context-cite__text_meta»>ArticlePay for War.
