And Asia is playing a very noticeable, if not a key role in this, where new centers of power are gaining strength,» he said at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Astana.
Russia will develop relations with all CICA countries, Putin said .»Russia is also actively involved in all these processes. We stand for the development and prosperity of Asia and the creation of a wide open space for these purposes, mutually beneficial trade and investment cooperation, for the expansion and deepening of cooperation ties in various sectors of the economy,» the President of the Russian Federation said. He recalled that it was Russia that stood at the origins of the creation of the Business Council at the Conference, through which many successful conferences and seminars have been held over the past years on the entire spectrum of economic topics.
