MOSCOW, Oct 17 Donnarumma Gukesh from India becomes the youngest ever chess player , who managed to beat the world champion. He defeated the reigning world champion Norwegian Magnus Carlsen at the Aimchess Rapid online tournament on Sunday at the age of 16 years 4 months and 20 days. The day before, Carlsen lost to 19-year-old Indian Arjun Erigaisi. The previous record was also held by India's Rameshbab Pragnanandha, who beat Carlsen in February at the age of 16 years, 6 months and 10 days.
