MOSCOW, Nov 22 Russian President Vladimir Putin at the opening ceremony of the monument to Fidel Castro in Moscow remembered the last conversation with the Cuban politician in 2014 — then Castro spoke about things surprisingly consonant with the formation of a multipolar world order.
«Many hours of conversations with him remained in my memory. Especially our last conversation in July 2014 He spoke about things surprisingly consonant with the time — the time of the formation of a multipolar world order, about the fact that independence and dignity are not traded, about the fact that every nation has the right to free development, to choose its own path, and in a truly just world there may be a place for dictatorship, robbery and neo-colonialism,» the Russian president said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez unveiled a monument to Fidel Castro in Moscow, the ceremony was held in Tuesday.
Fidel Castro is one of the leaders of the Cuban revolutionary movement, who served as chairman of the Council of Ministers of Cuba from 1959 to 2008. Cuban politician died in 2016.
