Podolyak called von der Leyen's statement about the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine a mistake

MOSCOW, Dec 1 10 to 13 thousand people, said adviser to the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky Mikhail Podolyak on the air of a single telethon.
According to him, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, made a mistake during yesterday's statement when she reported about one hundred thousand dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He stated that, according to the data of the General Staff of Ukraine, which are voiced by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian troops allegedly lost from ten to 12.5-13 thousand people.

In November, the commander of the Joint Group of Russian Forces, Army General Sergei Surovikin, said that in October alone the Ukrainian military had lost more than 12,000 servicemen.

In September, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Ukrainian troops lost more than 61,000 people dead and 49,000 wounded.
The day before, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, issued a statement about the need to bring Russia to «international responsibility» and use frozen Russian funds to restore Ukraine. In support of her words, the head of the EC noted, in particular, that «according to estimates to date, more than 20 thousand civilians and 100 thousand soldiers have died.»
Subsequently, the paragraph on the number of dead was completely removed from both the written and video statements head of the EC. The press service of von der Leyen explained this as an «inaccuracy» and noted that it was about «killed and wounded».
