MOSCOW, 2 Dec. Ukrainian oligarch, businessman Igor Kolomoisky lost his status as a dollar billionaire in the Forbes list, according to the magazine's website.
Last year, the businessman's fortune was estimated at $ 1.8 billion, he ranked fourth in the list of the richest Ukrainians. In the winter of this year, Kolomoisky’s wealth reached 1.9 billion, but after the loss of Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta, the magazine estimated his assets at 850 million.
The Kyiv authorities transferred Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta to the state in November. The first company is the largest oil producer in the country: last year it produced 1.5 million tons. It also owns a network of five hundred filling stations.
Ukrtatnafta owns Ukraine's largest oil refinery, the Kremenchug refinery, which has been idle since March.
The authorities nationalized both enterprises due to Kolomoisky's passivity at the beginning of the Russian special operation — billionaire in the first months, he did not allocate any funds to the army, Forbes writes, citing sources in the office of Zelensky and his party.
In the summer, the entrepreneur began to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the authorities accused him of tax evasion, the source said.
