MOSCOW, Dec 17 All nine Ukrainian-controlled nuclear power units launched to work, the national company Energoatom reported on Saturday.
«On December 17, 2022, as of 18:00, all nine nuclear power units located in the territory controlled by Ukraine are operating in the energy system,» Energoatom said in a message on its Telegram channel.
The company added that at the moment the capacity of one of the power units is limited to 600 MW due to the unavailability of the power system to receive the entire possible amount of electricity from it.
The RF Armed Forces started striking Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, behind which, according to the Russian authorities, the Ukrainian special services stand. The strikes are carried out on energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout the country. Vladimir Zelensky, in a conversation with US President Joe Biden on December 11, said that 50% of the energy infrastructure in Ukraine has been destroyed.
