Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin proposed to raise taxes for Russians who left the country. He wrote about this in his telegram channel.
“There are those who believe that it is necessary to give preferences and benefits to those who left our country so that they return back. It is not right. It's completely understandable why they ran away. The one who realized that he made a mistake has already returned. The rest should understand: the vast majority of society does not support their act — they believe that they have betrayed their country, relatives and friends,» Volodin wrote.
The State Duma Speaker specified that emigrants working remotely «enjoy all the benefits» of the Russian tax legislation.
“It is correct to cancel preferences for those who left the Russian Federation and introduce an increased tax rate for them. This will be fair,” he concluded.
Volodin stressed that the deputies are already working on the relevant bill. If it is drawn up, it will be submitted to the State Duma for consideration only after the New Year holidays. The spring session of the lower house of parliament will begin on January 9, 2023.
In 2022, the State Duma adopted a record number of bills in history — 653. Among them are bills on criminal and administrative penalties for «discrediting» the army and «fakes» about war, as well as several laws that alleviate the situation of volunteers, conscripts, mobilized and their relatives. -cite__image» alt=»1″ />Desecration of the St. George ribbon, sabotage communities and map of Russia without Crimea.
