WASHINGTON, Jan 12 US Department of State Ready to Assist DOJ Investigation scandal over classified documents related to the incumbent President Joe Biden, if such a request is received, said the official representative of the US diplomatic agency Ned Price.
«If the Justice Department needs to contact the State Department in order to assist in the investigation, then established channels and procedures. They do not include me or most of the employees in this building. But if the need arises, we are ready for full cooperation,» Price said during the briefing.
In recent days, a scandal erupted in the United States in connection with the discovery of Biden's office in Washington, D.C., for classified documents dating back to the period when the incumbent was Vice President of the United States. On Thursday, the White House released a statement from which it follows that a new portion of classified materials was found in Biden's personal home in the town of Wilmington. All materials refer to the period of his vice presidency in the administration of Barack Obama and could, in violation of the regulations, be with Biden when he was a private person.
