MOSCOW, Jan 31 Photo exhibition «Liberation. Stalingrad» will be held in Washington at the Russian embassy, said Dmitry Kiselev, Director General of the Russia Today International Media Group.
«You have just seen these pictures in our hall. They are now presented in Volgograd, and then they will be in Lugansk, and in Rostov-on-Don, and in Belgorod, Orel, Donetsk and Melitopol. They will even be in Washington, since the an agreement that the same exhibition will be exhibited within the walls of the Russian embassy in Washington,» Kiselev said at the presentation of the Liberation. 1943 project, which is taking place at the Russia Today International Multimedia Press Center.
Kiselyov specified that the exhibition in Washington will be opened by Russian Ambassador to the USA Anatoly Antonov.
The presentation was timed to coincide with the opening of the photo exhibition «Liberation. Stalingrad» at the Panorama Museum «Battle of Stalingrad» and the launch of the unique multimedia project «Liberation. 1943». This is the first exposition within the framework of the project, which was carried out by the agency with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. It tells about the history of the de-occupation of the south-west of the Soviet Union from the Nazi invaders.
