CAIRO, Feb. 4 Moscow is grateful to the African states for their thoughtful , a reasonable policy towards Russia, said Oleg Ozerov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, head of the secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.
«We are very grateful to the African states for their balanced, reasonable policy towards Russia, this also applies to Egypt,» the Russian diplomat said.
According to Ozerov, Russia sees that many African countries have taken a «formally neutral position» on the situation in Ukraine, despite pressure from the West.
The second Russia-Africa summit is scheduled for July 2023, it will be held in St. Petersburg. The first Russia-Africa summit was held in 2019 in Sochi with the participation of the heads of most African states.
As Ozerov noted earlier, Ozerov, the second forum will be largely devoted to economic and humanitarian cooperation between the Russian Federation and African countries, including food and energy security.
