TEL AVIV, Mar 9 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the attack in Tel Aviv a serious terrorist attack and expressed support for the security forces working on the spot, the leader published a statement on the Telegram channel.
“Tonight there was a severe terrorist attack in Tel Aviv. I pray for the well-being of the wounded and express my support for the police and security forces on the ground,” Netanyahu said.
Earlier, The Times of Israel correspondent reported that the Prime Minister, who is in Rome, was informed about the attack.
Two pedestrians were injured in a shooting in the center of Tel Aviv, according to the Israeli portal Ynet, the attacker was neutralized by the police — his condition is assessed as critical.
