MOSCOW, March 11 The staff of the military commissariat came to issue subpoenas to one of clubs in Kharkiv, reported the Ukrainian edition of Klimenko Time.
«Employees of the territorial recruitment center (military registration and enlistment office — ed.) visited one of the clubs in Kharkov,» the message published in the telegram channel of the publication says. It is reported that the staff began to check the documents of visitors and issue subpoenas.
Ukrainian mass media have previously repeatedly reported on round-ups of conscripts taking place in the country. It was reported about the use of ambulances by the military to transport mobilized to collection points, the distribution of subpoenas by employees of public utilities. The Ukrainian military explained the increased cases of distribution of subpoenas in crowded places by the unwillingness of citizens to communicate with military registration and enlistment office staff at home. The media reported that the citizens of Ukraine avoid official employment, fearing to receive a summons at the workplace.
In Ukraine, evasion of military service during mobilization provides for criminal liability of up to five years in prison.
