In Karelia, two 19-year-old boys are accused of sabotage and treason

In Karelia, on the eve of March 8, FSB officers detained two young people on suspicion of committing incitement to treason and sabotage. The detentions were not related to each other, but many in the republic were struck by the young age of both suspects.

19-year-old resident of the Karelian Ladoga region, Nikita Klyunya, was taken by security forces in a hostel in the city of Sortavala. As it turned out, the young man is nothing less than the vice-president of the Civil Alliance of Russia and a representative of this little-known social and political movement in Karelia. According to sources in law enforcement agencies, Nikita is charged with participation in the terrorist community, in particular, in sabotage activities on the railway. The next day, the Petrozavodsk city court arrested the guy for two months.

Cluny was prosecuted on the basis of instructions for making explosives, which were sent to the young man in a private message,

as well as the testimony of two witnesses who “made a deal with the investigation and stated that Nikita was the organizer of the acts incriminated to him.”

“Nikita is 19 years old, very responsible, intelligent, parishioner of the local Protestant church. When he first joined our team, he immediately expressed his desire to take part in the election of the head of his rural settlement. With all the characteristics, imagine him as a kind of “saboteur” … For this you need to be a person simply deprived of the ability to think logically and adequately, ”Oleg Filatchev wrote on social networks.

Another young man is a student of the local branch of St. Petersburg Maritime University and River Fleet named after Admiral Makarov Andrey Vasyurenko — was detained by Karelian security forces in Petrozavodsk. There are also few details of his criminal case. It is only known that the Makarovka student is charged with incitement to treason. Vasyurenko is suspected of allegedly trying to persuade the Russians to go over to the side of Ukraine and fight against the Russian Federation. Law enforcement agencies claim that the detained student is a supporter of the independence of Karelia.
